What does AHT Cooling Systems E35 mean?
The controller reports that internal goods room temperature is too high. The goods room sensor has measured a temperature above the permissible upper alarm threshold, indicating the cabinet is unable to maintain the required storage temperature for the products being cooled or frozen. E35 requires immediate attention to prevent product spoilage.
Symptoms
- E35 displayed with red LED and buzzer active.
- Goods room temperature reading above the high-temperature alarm setpoint.
- Cabinet may be running but unable to pull temperature down.
- Product temperature may be rising — spoilage risk.
Common causes
- Condenser coils dirty or blocked, reducing heat rejection capacity.
- Compressor not running due to safety trip or failure.
- Refrigerant loss reducing cooling capacity.
- Excessive ambient temperature around the cabinet limiting condenser performance.
- Night blind or air curtain not functioning, allowing warm air infiltration.
- Cabinet overloaded with warm goods beyond its rated load capacity.
Diagnostic steps
- 01
Move goods immediately
Transfer all temperature-sensitive goods to another cabinet at the correct product temperature class before product temperature exceeds safe limits.
- 02
Check if compressor is running
Listen and confirm the compressor is operating. If not running, check for other active fault codes indicating compressor safety trip.
- 03
Inspect condenser
Check condenser coils and air intake/discharge grilles for dust and blockage. Clean condenser coils if dirty per the AHT cleaning procedure.
- 04
Check ambient temperature
Verify room temperature around the cabinet is within the rated ambient temperature class for the device. Excessive ambient heat reduces condenser efficiency.
- 05
Verify night blind and air curtain
Confirm the night blind (where fitted) retracts correctly during day operation and the air curtain is flowing properly to minimize warm air infiltration.
