Bunn Temperature Too Low
Tank water is below the ready temperature, so brewing is locked out until it heats up.

What does Bunn Temperature Too Low mean?
On AXIOM digital brewers, Temperature Too Low means the water temperature in the tank does not meet the ready temperature. With the brew lockout feature enabled, the brewer will not start a brew cycle until the tank reaches the programmed temperature. It is most common right after start-up, a large back-to-back brew, or a fresh refill of cold water.
Symptoms
- Display reads "Temperature Too Low"
- Brewer will not start a brew cycle
- Display has not yet reached ready
- Often seen after start-up or back-to-back brewing
Common causes
- Tank water has not yet heated to the ready temperature
- Cold water just refilled the tank after a brew
- Brew lockout feature is enabled and holding off the brew
Diagnostic steps
- 01
Wait for the brewer to heat up
Allow the brewer to heat to the proper temperature. Once the tank reaches the ready temperature the message clears and brewing is allowed.
- 02
Confirm it is not a persistent heating fault
If the tank never reaches ready, this can shade into a heating problem. Make sure the display eventually reads ready rather than staying locked out indefinitely.
- 03
Disable the brew lockout if appropriate
The brew lockout function can be disabled in the programming section per the documented procedure if a technician decides brewing should be allowed below the ready temperature.
- 04
Re-test a brew once ready
After the display reads ready, start a normal brew cycle to confirm the lockout has released and water temperature is correct.

When to call a professional
This message is usually normal heat-up behavior and clears on its own, so a technician is not always required. Call a Bunn Authorized Service Representative if the tank never reaches ready, if the message persists after a full heat-up, or if you want the brew lockout setting changed — programming-level changes and any heater or sensor diagnosis behind a stuck low temperature should be done by qualified service personnel.

Tank refill timed out — the brewer could not fill the tank within the allowed time and shut down.
Heating Time Too LongThe tank water failed to reach the ready temperature within the allowed time, so the brewer shut down.
Temp Sensor Out Of Range, Check For Bad ConnectionsThe temperature sensor circuit reads open — the probe or its wiring is disconnected.
Temp Sensor Out Of Range, Check Wire For ShortsThe temperature sensor circuit reads shorted — the sensor wiring is shorted.
