What does Carrier E6 mean?

The indoor and outdoor units have lost their communication link. Carrier flags this as a communication malfunction and directs the technician to check the wiring connection between the units. Because the two boards can no longer exchange data, the system stops normal operation until the connection is restored.

• System fails to start or run normally
• Often follows wiring work or a loose terminal
