What does ACiQ EC51 mean?

EC51 is an outdoor unit EEPROM parameter error. The indoor or outdoor PCB main chip is not receiving feedback from the EEPROM chip that stores the board's operating parameters. When the controller cannot read these stored values from the outdoor board, it reports EC51 and the system will not run normally.

Symptoms

• EC51 shown on the display
• Outdoor unit fails to operate normally
• Code persists after a power cycle when the board is at fault
• System does not respond correctly to commands

Common causes

• Outdoor EEPROM data not being read by the main chip
• Faulty outdoor main PCB or EEPROM chip
• Transient power disturbance that cleared after restart

   Power cycle the system

   Shut off the power supply and turn it back on about two minutes later.

   Check if the code returns

   If EC51 no longer displays, the unit is operating normally; if it persists, the board is the issue.

   Prepare the board parts

   The recommended parts for EC51 are the indoor PCB and the outdoor PCB.

   Replace the outdoor main PCB

   If the code still displays after a restart, replace the outdoor main PCB.
