What does Elitech EP mean?

EP is shown when a copy-card operation fails because the data on the card does not match the controller. The Elitech ETC-974A and ECS-974neo fault table states EP means the data in the copy card disagrees with the controller model, causing programming failure. The manual advises finding a correct copy card to upload or download parameters when EP appears.

Symptoms

• Display shows EP during a copy-card download

Diagnostic steps

   Confirm EP on the display

   Verify the panel shows EP, which the manual defines as the copy-card data disagreeing with the controller model.

   Use a matching copy card

   Find and use a copy card whose data matches this controller model, as the manual directs, to upload or download parameters successfully.

   Re-create the card from a matching unit

   Upload parameters from a controller of the same model onto the card (a successful upload shows uP) before attempting the download.

   Keep the card connected and power stable

   During the copy operation keep the power supply stable and do not remove the card before it finishes, per the manual.

   Retry the download

   Repeat the download with the correct card; a successful download shows do and the controller accepts the parameters.
