What does Follett DRIP TRAY mean?

On 7 and 15 Series ice and water dispensers, the Drip tray LED is a red indicator that the drip tray is full. It alerts the operator to empty the tray before overflow. It is reported in the unit's LED Indicator Description as a fault-attention indicator distinct from the green normal-status lights and the other red alarms such as Water leak and High amps.

Symptoms

• Red Drip tray LED illuminated on the user interface.

Diagnostic steps

   If the unit has the optional Drip Tray Drain Kit, verify it is connected and draining so the tray does not refill immediately.

   Confirm the indicator clears

   After emptying, confirm the Drip tray LED clears; if it stays on with an empty tray, suspect the tray sensor.

   Inspect the sensor if needed

   If the LED remains lit with the tray empty, have the drip-tray full-sensing checked, as the indicator is reading a full condition that is not present.
