What does Jeros AL 01 mean?

AL 01 means the control has lost a valid signal from the wash-tank temperature sensor — the sensor circuit is either disconnected or short-circuited. The same alarm key is printed in the manuals across the Jeros utensil and utility washer range. The manual's prescribed response is a power cycle, and an engineer call-out if the alarm returns.

Symptoms

  • AL 01 shown on the operating panel display
  • Alarm returns immediately after switching the machine OFF and ON again
  • Wash-tank temperature reading no longer plausible while the alarm is active

Common causes

  • Wash-tank temperature sensor wiring disconnected
  • Wash-tank temperature sensor short-circuited
  • Sensor circuit fault that persists across a power cycle

Diagnostic steps

  1. 01

Switch the machine OFF and then ON again

The manual's first remedy for AL 01 is a full power cycle at the operating panel: switch the machine OFF, then ON again.

  2. 02

    Check whether AL 01 reoccurs

If the alarm clears and stays clear, the machine can be returned to service. Watch the next cycle to confirm.

  3. 03

If AL 01 reoccurs, stop and call an engineer

The manual is explicit: a recurring AL 01 means the wash-tank sensor circuit (disconnected or short-circuited) needs an engineer — it is not an operator-level fix.

When to call a professional

Call an engineer as soon as AL 01 survives one power cycle — that is the manual's own instruction. Diagnosing whether the wash-tank sensor circuit is open or shorted requires opening the machine's electrical compartment, which Jeros restricts to authorised service personnel.
