What does Jeros AL 08 mean?

AL 08 means the lid hoist took longer than its maximum permitted travel time — the lid did not reach its end position within the time the control allows. The manual's remedy is a power cycle, with an engineer call-out if the alarm reoccurs.

Symptoms

  • AL 08 shown on the operating panel display
  • Lid hoist stops before completing its travel
  • Alarm returns after switching the machine OFF and ON again

Common causes

  • Lid hoist travel exceeding the maximum permitted travel time
  • Hoist movement obstructed or slowed so the end position is not reached in time

Diagnostic steps

  1. 01

    Switch the machine OFF and then ON again

    Power-cycle the machine per the manual to reset the hoist travel-time alarm.

  2. 02

    Operate the lid and check whether AL 08 reoccurs

    If the hoist completes its travel and the alarm stays clear, resume service.

  3. 03

    If AL 08 reoccurs, call an engineer

    A recurring travel-time fault on the lid hoist needs service-level diagnosis per the manual.
