What does Randell E0 mean?

On a Randell prep table fitted with the Carel controller, E0 is the control-probe alarm. The control probe is the temperature sensor the controller uses to regulate the cabinet, and E0 indicates that sensor has failed, gone out of range, or lost its connection so the controller can no longer read the air temperature it needs to manage cooling.

Symptoms

• Display shows E0 and the alarm LED is lit
• Cabinet or rail temperature is not being held correctly
• Compressor may run continuously or not cycle normally
• Temperature reading on the display is missing or erratic

• Failed or out-of-range control probe (temperature sensor)
