What does Perfect Fry AIR FLOW/AIR FILTER mean?

On a PFA-series fryer this SYSTEM ERROR means there is improper air flow. The unit beeps twice and displays the alert, de-energizing the heating element while the fans continue to run. Air flow must be restored by clearing the intake and exhaust vents and servicing the filters before the fryer returns to normal heating operation.

Symptoms

• Fryer beeps twice to signal the error
• Heating element is de-energized while fans run
• Reduced or restricted air movement through the unit

Common causes

• Improper air flow through the fryer
• Obstructed front air intake or rear exhaust vents
• Dirty grease filter restricting flow
• Clogged air filter cartridge

Diagnostic steps

   Clear the vents

   Make sure the front air intake and rear exhaust vents are not obstructed.

   Clean the grease filter

   Clean the grease filter thoroughly to restore air flow.

   Replace the air filter cartridge

   Replace the air filter cartridge with a genuine Perfect Fry filter.

   Confirm the error clears

   When air flow is restored the fryer beeps twice to signal OK and resumes HEATING.
