What does Perfect Fry FRONT PANEL mean?

On a PFA-series fryer this SYSTEM ERROR means the hinged front panel is not installed or shut properly. The fryer beeps twice, displays the alert on the LCD, and de-energizes the heating element while the fans keep running. Heating cannot resume until the panel is confirmed closed and the error clears with two beeps.

Symptoms

• LCD shows *** SYSTEM ERROR *** PLEASE CHECK FRONT PANEL
• Fryer beeps twice to signal the error condition
• Heating element is de-energized but the fans continue to run
• Unit will not return to normal HEATING/READY operation

Common causes

• Hinged front panel is not installed
• Front panel is not shut properly
• One or both of the two black latches are not engaged

Diagnostic steps

1. 01

   Read the LCD alert

   Confirm the display reads *** SYSTEM ERROR *** PLEASE CHECK FRONT PANEL before acting.

2. 02

   Reseat the front panel

   Make sure the hinged front panel is properly installed on its hinges.

3. 03

   Close it securely

   Check that the front panel is closed securely with its two black latches engaged.

4. 04

   Confirm the error clears

   When the condition is corrected the fryer beeps twice to signal OK and returns to HEATING.
